I enjoy being a family physician because I like people.  There is uniqueness and value to each person.  I am grateful for the opportunity to care for people when they face illness and hope that together we can develop a rational approach to finding out cause and treatment.  One of the great joys of medical practice is working with people to prevent or treat illness and to enable a more enjoyable life.  Physicians treat disease, yet God is the one who shepards us through life.  To know and trust Him, is to have joy and peace, even in the presence of disease and pain.  May we all be faithful to our calling in Him.  I also enjoy volunteering in medical projects in rural Latin America and China.  My wife and I have three children.  All will be in college or graduate school this fall.
